Online Reputation

What is online reputation? Well, type in any of your major keywords for your website and see where you come up in search engine results. Then type in the name of your company and see what comes up; then your company name and the word “review” after it. The results that come up are your online reputation. Often potential customers are looking to dig up information about your services to see what other customers have said about them before they put in their hard earned money into it. Sounds reasonable.

Now if any of those searches, you had a negative review come up, well you can count on it that potential customers will find that review. Often times sites like Yelp, Rip off report, and Complaints Board that will turn up in SERPS (search engine results page) because they are viewed by search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing as high-authority websites. This basically means anything that they backlink to on their webpage usually will come up in SERPS.

Your online reputation is like an x-ray of your business, and it is important to make sure that your reputation is positive. For more information about online reputation management
